Reimagining Art In Community Education Spaces Fellowship
The R.A.I.C.E.S Fellowship is an initiative to support Latinx artists living and working in the City and County of San Francisco. This fellowship seeks to hire four (4) individuals to be hosted at four (4) historical Latinx-led art & culture organizations.
The initiative’s goals are to: 1) Cultivate the Latinx creative sector by providing job opportunities and 2) Support historical cultural organizations that have been at the center of social services and want to provide dedicated jobs to artists.
This is a twelve-month fellowship where artists are required to develop a community-informed art project within their practice that will culminate in a public presentation at the end of the fellowship. We define community informed as a listening process where artists will participate in community dialogue (e.g., community meetings, city hall advocacy, and policy recommendations, actions, and protests).

Acción Latina
Acción Latina is an arts and media nonprofit based in San Francisco’s Latino Cultural District, and it is the proud publisher of the legacy newspaper El Tecolote. Our mission is to promote cultural arts, community media, and civic engagement as a way of building healthy and empowered Latino communities.
Galería de la Raza
Founded in 1970, Galería de la Raza | Studio 24 is a non-profit dedicated to promoting Xicanx/Latinx art and culture. Our “creative place keeping” ethos is rooted in social inclusion and justice, where community arts are central to navigating the complex intersection of urban development, social inequality, affordable housing, and the historical-cultural legacies of communities of color. To implement our mission, the Galería supports Latinx artists in the visual, literary, media, and performing art fields whose works explore new aesthetic possibilities for socially committed art.
Marigold Project
The Marigold Project serves the community by creating healing spaces connecting us to our ancestors and our impermanence in One Spirit. By providing cultural education, art and writing therapy workshops, and altar-building skills connecting as a community, we honor the circle of life and death.
Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts (MCCLA)
The Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts is a multicultural, multidisciplinary arts organization that promotes, preserves, and develops those cultural arts that reflect the living traditions and experiences of the Chicano, Central, South American, and Caribbean people and makes art accessible as an essential element to community development and well-being.
