Marcia Aguilar
Marcia Aguilar is a Registered Drama Therapist and performing artist based in San Francisco. As a bilingual facilitator, Marcia fuses play, theater, and healing. She believes improvisation is a creative outlet for personal growth. She has worked with children as a teacher, acting coach, and therapist. Now, she plays the inner child of adults, so that they can find peace and experience life in the moment.
Marcia teaches improvisational theater workshops throughout the Bay Area. She also directs self-revelatory performances, guiding actors toward healing as they create original theatrical pieces. As a recipient of an SF Arts Commission grant, she recently wrote and performed her third solo show La Mamá Chingona. She is currently working with 3GT to adapt the show into a full-length play. Marcia has performed in Schooltown Funk (with a sold-out run at the SF Fringe Festival), Orlando (American Conservatory Theater), Three Sisters (Utopia Theater Project), and many more. Marcia offers creative play and drama therapy sessions for growth and personal well-being here: https://linktr.ee/Cocreated
