Folklórico Mexicano para jovenes y adultos
Folklórico con Maestro Pablo will guide students through the various dance styles and practices of Mexico. As we explore the different states, and their repertoire, students will participate in an exploration of the many influences which continue to permeate Mexican culture, notably; Pre-Hispanic Indian, European, African and Asian cultures. Students will be guided through warm ups, stretches, and cool downs to ensure success and retention in class! Students will learn the footwork, vocabulary, customs and characteristics of each musical region through group choreographies, partner work and individual performances.
