About This Class
This class focuses on an introduction to Capoeira through movement and traditional rhythmic steps. The first 40 minutes will be spent learning the basics and fundamentals. The next hour is spent exercising and practicing the movements and kicks, the most important aspects of this art form. Students will learn a series of attack sequences and improve self-defense. Each class will conclude with a group circle where students clap, sing, play music and rehearse the movements they have just learned.
