Este taller de folklore mexicano va introducir a los estudiantes a el folklore noroeste del país de México. Bailarines aprenderán sobre los estados de Baja California Norte y Sinaloa. Estudiaremos el vestuario, las canciones, y los pasos de baile.
Esta clase es para estudiantes años 6/7+, y de todos los niveles. Bailarines principiantes, bailarines con experiencia, y bailarines con muchas ganas están invitados a participar.

This Mexican folklore workshop will introduce students to the northwestern folklore of the country of Mexico. Dancers will learn about the states of Baja California Norte and Sinaloa. We will study the costumes, the songs, and the dance steps.
This class is for students ages 6/7 +, and of all levels. Beginning dancers, experienced dancers, and eager dancers are invited to participate.

Pablo’s intention as a folklórico teacher is to share their knowledge of the Mexican folk and popular dances that have provided fun, confidence, enjoyment, and wonder to themselves and to the dancer within all of us.
Pablo is a proud queer undocumented bilingual 1st grade teacher and bailarín from Santana, CA who was born in Mexicali, BCN, MX.
Pablo is a part of Ensambles Ballet Folklorico de San Francisco and co-founder of the family oriented dance group, El Espiritu Bailarin.
