Versión en español – Convocatoria de Arte: El Amor Nos Mantiene Juntos

This exhibit celebrates the in-person return and gathering of LGBTQIA individuals and supporters who have remained together through the challenges and losses experienced during the last two years of the pandemic.

MCCLA is seeking artwork that highlights the pride and diversity of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual individuals. We are seeking work that documents the love and pride of the Latinx community living in the Bay Area during the pandemic.

Emergent and established artists are encouraged to submit their completed work.

We will accept painting, photography, printmaking, assemblage, collage, mixed media, sculpture, fashion.

We will accept music, film, and performance art submissions for Opening Night on Friday, May 13 th from 6pm-9pm.

  • Deadline to Submit: May 9, 2022
  •  Drop Off Work: May 11 from 1pm to 8pm
  • Opening Night: Friday, May 13 from 6pm to 9pm

Submission guidelines:

  1. Artist Name
  2. Artist contact: address, phone, email, Instagram, FB or website.
  3. Title of artwork
  4. Media
  5. If artwork is for sale, indicate price (Please note that MCCLA takes 30% of the sale of artwork sold during the exhibit at MCCLA. Artist keeps 60%)
  6. Gallery insures artwork.
  7. Artwork must be signed, ready to hang and install, with a name/phone/email label on the back or bottom of the artwork.
  8. Send high-resolution jpeg of the artwork
  9. Send high-resolution jpeg of the artist
  10. Artist statement regarding art submitted.
  11. Gallery retains the right of refusal to include in show.
  12. If accepted, artwork must be delivered and ready to hang on the following dates: May 11 from 1pm to 8pm.
