Paseo Artistico, the Calle 24 Latino Cultural District Free Community Arts Stroll event will promote the safety and creative opportunities for children in the Mission District and beyond through fun youth arts activities featuring youth and adult artists who also claim heritage from Mexico and Central America.
The August 11 event aims to raise awareness about children and their families at the US-Mexico border detained by the current administration, as well as highlight the value of our children in the community through a dynamic display of artists and artistic disciplines.
Live music and dance from Latino, indigenous, Hip-Hop, and tropical artists, poetry and literary arts from Central American authors and writers, as well as indigenous food demonstration, interactive arts and crafts workshops for all ages will be presented for free to the entire community.
